About this event
Mountain Lotus presents an evening of listening, learning, and dialogue as part of our ongoing Speaker Series dedicated to agroecological education and community wellbeing.
At the heart of Mountain Lotus is a commitment to the health of individuals, our local community, and the Sierra ecosystem. This series creates space for meaningful conversation, collaboration, and deeper connection within the Truckee community.
Agroecology is more than farming or ecology, it is the intersection of land, culture, food systems, and collective action. It’s what becomes possible when communities come together to reimagine and reshape the systems that sustain us.

Our Mountain Lotus Cafe will be open throughout the evening, offering seasonal, farm-to-table food rooted in the same values we’ll be discussing.
Enjoy nourishing dishes made with organic ingredients sourced through the Tahoe Food Hub and other local producers — including vibrant seasonal salads, house-made soups, plant-forward plates, and thoughtfully crafted beverages.
Come early, grab a warm bowl or fresh plate, and continue the conversation over food that reflects our commitment to regenerative agriculture and community-based food systems.
