Step into a night of sonic alchemy with Random Rab, a visionary producer and multi-instrumentalist whose two-decade career has redefined the landscape of West Coast electronic music. Known for his fusion of organic instrumentation, emotive melodies, and boundary-pushing sound design, Rab’s performances are immersive journeys that balance innovation with soul.
Opening the night is Girl George, a Truckee-based DJ and producer who blends heavy bass with ethereal textures, drawing from her background in science and mindfulness to craft sets that are both grounding and elevating.
Together, these artists invite you into a transformative evening of sound, where deep bass, live instrumentation, and transcendent energy merge into something unforgettable.
Random Rab is a Colorado-based electronic music producer and multi-instrumentalist with a career spanning over two decades. Often hailed as “a luminary of the West Coast’s psychedelic-bass music diaspora” he first made his mark in the late 1990s after moving to San Francisco and immersing himself in the underground scene. In those early years, he began blending live instruments and vocals with cutting-edge electronic production – a fusion that quickly became a hallmark of his unique sound. This innovative mix of organic and electronic elements set the stage for the distinctive sonic palettes and emotive atmospheres that define Random Rab’s music. Even after decades on the scene, Random Rab continues to push musical boundaries through new projects and collaborations. He is currently developing an all-ambient project called Metonic Cycles, expected to debut first release in 2025. He has several collaborations in the works with CloZee, Dreamer’s Delight, New Thousand, and LVDY. His work remains difficult to pigeonhole, blending genres and moods in service of a deeply emotive sound. It’s a style that has led Grateful Web to dub him “the master of inventive experimentalism and emotion” for the way he balances innovation with heartfelt melody. With an unwavering commitment to creativity, Random Rab today stands as a pioneering voice in electronic music – continually captivating listeners with new sonic explorations while staying true to the soulful, boundary-breaking spirit that has defined his career. New full length album is expected late 2025. Jordan aka Girl George is originally from Reno, Nevada and currently living in Truckee, California.
Girl George was born out of Jordan’s opposing characteristics - she was originally a molecular biologist and mindfulness teacher during the week, only going to shows and festivals on the weekends. Her passion for music ultimately turned into a much stronger calling to leave the lab behind, and become a DJ/music producer. Her mission is to weave both scientific and energetic influences into her music; to show that opposites (polarities) are both parts of the same pattern, and to explore how we can use our own polarities to create new levels of embodiment. She also teaches breathwork to further emphasize the importance of polarity and enjoying opposites in our lives. Her sets range from heavier genres: bass, dubstep, trap and rap to tech house to slower, deeper bass and genre-mixed sets for yoga classes and spiritual endeavors.
